One of the big main differences between Arrow and Flash is the basis of “reality”. Arrow prides itself on dealing with threats that are natural. Assassins, gangsters, evil business, and yes, scientifically created super-soldiers. Flash however deals with people given special abilities or powers. Now though, a metahuman is coming to Arrow.
Doug Jones, who you may know as Abe Sapien from Hellboy or Cochise from Falling Skies among other roles, will be portraying Deathbolt. A villain who will “be a metahuman with the ability to harness and weaponize plasma energy.”
It’ll be interesting to see how Ollie and the rest of Team Arrow deals with this superhuman threat, as we can all but guarantee that this won’t be a crossover episode. Green Arrow has taken down superhumans in the past in the comics, and to a degree in the show, but this will be a first.
Deathbolt will arrive in an episode, titled, “Broken Arrow”.
