Mid-season finales are truly becoming popular for many a show, and writers use them to wrap up the first half of the season and kickstart excitement for the back half. No show does this better than Arrow. Both “Year’s End” and “Three Ghosts” marked huge changes for the storyarcs for those season, and with “The Climb”, it doesn’t look to be any different.

Producer Marc Guggenheim talked about the upcoming episode, and stated that it will be big, and Ra’s will be a big part of the impact for the episode.

“What’s really cool about Ra’s coming to the fore is [that] his presence changes the show. Literally, the show will not be the same after [S03E09-The Climb].”

Guggenheim also hinted at what’s to come in the back half of the season, including a more prominent role for one Malcolm Merlyn, who may not look the same as he has before.
