Avengers: Endgame producer talks Hawkeye series

October 27th, 2019 by Marc Comments

After certain upsetting rumours and concerns about Avengers star Jeremy Renner last week – it’s not the sort of thing we cover here, folks – there was concerns about if he still had a future in the MCU as Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye, especially with the Hawkeye TV series set to begin filming soon.

But, it seems that fans can relax as Avengers: Endgame producer Trinh Tran has given an update on the series and Renner is still very much involved.

The series will see the impact the ends fo Endgame had on the MCU and will introduce us to a new Hawkeye in the form of Kate Bishop, with Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld the current favourite to fill the role.

“I think with Endgame, it’s always going to impact all of the characters that we are introducing in our Disney+ streaming shows as well as the future of features, right, for the characters that are still existing,” Tran said.

“So you’re just going to have to find… I can’t say much about that!”

As for Steinfeld paying the role, Tran wouldn’t be drawn, but she did confirm the character would be present in a big way:  “Well, they’re both Hawkeyes in a way, right? So you want to make sure… I’m always interested in introducing new characters. And now we have a fascinating young female who is very interested in this role. So you’re going to see a balance of both.”

At this stage, from what we heard, the gig is already given to Steinfeld and that’s great news, as she’s a very talented actress and would be a good fit for the role.

I want to hear your thoughts, guys.

Hawkeye is slated to debut on Disney+ in Fall 2021.
