Get ready for the new daily show

Big Bang Theory contract negotiations stall

July 26th, 2014 by Andrew McCarroll Comments

After briefly having my hopes raised yesterday with the the now debunked story that The Big Bang Theory was on the verge of implosion due to cast in-fighting. Today sees the revelation that all is not well with pay negotiations for the new season, with the cast still to sign on for the upcoming season 8.

Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco are said to be holding out for a pay bump that would see them take more than $1 million per episode in addition to an increase in their back end deal on the show that has unbelievably made a profit of more than $3 BILLION!!! since its debut.

Helberg and Nayyar are said to be negotiating together, but are not expecting to get a similar deal to their co-stars.

The new season is set to premiere on September 22

Andrew McCarroll never quite built on the dizzying career heights that he hit at 6 years old, when as a member of the “Ghostbusters” he would charge his neighbours to remove any unwanted spectres. Now retired from slaying spooks, he spends his time obsessing over superheroes (especially Batman) and devouring shows like Dexter, Game of Thrones and Archer in a manner that would make Galactus proud.
