BIG RUMOUR: Is Paul McGann returning to Doctor Who?

April 20th, 2014 by Marc Comments

OK, this is pure rumour and speculation but we’re hearing rumblings on the grapevine that there may be some truth to this…

But for now let’s keep at as ‘for conversational purposes’ for now.

We are hearing that Paul McGann may – MAY – be set to appear in the new series (or the one after) of Doctor Who as his incarnation of the Doctor; although the context is unknown at the minute.

After his fantastic 50th Anniversary short The Night Of The Doctor (below), fan reaction seems to be the driving force behind this move by the BBC.

And let us not forget that Tom Baker’s Curator character in The Day Of The Doctor told Matt Smith’s Doctor that he would “revisit some of the old favourites”

Anyway, as we said, we’re not putting any great faith in these whispers at the minute, but we’d be lying if we didn’t like the sound of it and hope it’s true…

Gallifrey falls no more…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
