Get ready for the new daily show

Black Lightning season 3 opening door for The Outsiders

September 12th, 2019 by Marc Comments

With Black Lightning Season 3 set to arrive on October 7th, new details are starting to come out as team Lightning get set to go to war.

Alongside the war with Markovia that is coming, this year will see the team finally crossing over with the rest of the Arrowverse for the first time for the Crisis on Infinity Earths event.

“It feels like our world is getting bigger. It’s becoming more global,” series star Cress Williams says – although he is unable to go into more detail. But that’s ok because the show has its own big event coming as the threat of the Markovians finally hits home.

“It’s going to expand everything. We are going to get more villains and more metas, and I think we are going to need more metas as well,” Williams said.

“We pick up with Jefferson just trying to figure out how to keep his daughters out of it, and trying to make compromises and deals – sacrifices really, to keep them out of the fray. And it’s going to take him to some dark places in order to do that.”

But, it looks like the opening of the world will possibly see one of DC’s biggest teams going into the world of Black Lightning: “The Markovians open the door to I think The Outsiders – probably. That’s what I’m feeling. I don’t know how long it’s going to take. It can be two seasons before we get there, but that door is open, right?”

The Outsiders in the comic is currently led by Batman but Black Lightning is a big part of it, so could we see him leading the team in the series?

As a fan of the Arrowverse, I’ve found The CW shows to be decreasing in quality, all except Black Lightning which has moved ahead of the rest as its become its own show and is creating a world worth investing time in.

Thoughts?
