We love this news! Brendan Frazer – an absolutely lovely guy who we have the honour of meeting in 2012 – is set for a big role in the upcoming DC series Doom Patrol.
Yes, Frazer has been cast as Robotman in the show set to air on the DC Universe subscription service and will see Frazer voice the character who will be portrayed by actor Riley Shanahan, however, Frazer will play Cliff Steele, the man who becomes Robotman in flashbacks in the show.
Cliff used to be a race car driver and all-around daredevil until his body was destroyed in a tragic accident. The mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder then transplanted his brain into a robotic body, and now Cliff lives again as Robotman.
Frazer (and Shanahan) join April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and The First Joivan Wade as Cyborg.
This is pretty exciting news for DC fans… or maybe you guys don’t agree. Let us know.
