A new vampire tv series known as ‘Brides of Dracula’ may soon be coming to our screens.

The new series from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee) and Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl) is described as: “a sexy reimagining of Dracula as a family drama with a trio of strong, diverse female leads, a show about empowered women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their non-traditional family.”

The series will focus on the lives of the brides, rewriting their story as if Professor Van Helsing hadn’t killed them.

It will be executive produced by Sarah Schechter, along with Berlanti and Aguirre-Sacasa.

It’s unknown when it will be set, although it’s likely to be a modern interpretation. Furthermore we don’t yet know how much the famous Count Dracula will appear.

My name is Jonathan Snelling. I’ve been a movie fan for a long time now and last year completed a degree in Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth University. It’s hard to choose a favourite film but I’ve always been a major fan of Christopher Nolan’s Batman saga. I’m really interested to see how Ben Affleck does in Dawn of Justice as it's set to be an incredible film. I’m usually willing to see any genre but naturally some more so than others.
