For well over a year we’ve listened to Showrunner Bryan Fuller talking about how the superb Hannibal could return for a fourth season… and now he’s back at it again.
The Showrunner, who is currently in the spotlight for his new series American Gods, has been chatting to the Post Mortem podcast about the possibility of Hannibal Lecter returning in the form of Mads Mikkelsen and, once more, he’s suggesting it’s definitely something that could be on the cards.
“I have conversations with (Hannibal executive producer) Martha De Laurentiis. I have conversations with Mads and Hugh. We’re are all excited about the prospect of returning to the story. There’s some hurdles to get through… [But] I just had a great idea for season 4.
“There’s an interesting next chapter in the relationship between Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter that would be fascinating to unpack. I’ve shared it with the gentlemen and they’re both keen on it.
That’s all there is, but it is a sliver of hope.
So Fuller, Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy are all onboard for this… we know the fans are too. So come on NBC, let’s get Silence of the Lambs onto our screens.
