With the really dire news last night that Hannibal had been cancelled by NBC due to poor viewing figures (turn off The Voice and watch some good TV!), showrunner Bryan Fuller has chatted to TV Line about where the show may have gone in Season 4.
Fuller teased: “My idea for Season 4 was perhaps one of the coolest yet. So I would love to do it in some capacity. It would have explored the Hannibal-Will Graham relationship in a much deeper fashion than the series ever has before.”
We know that Fuller and Dino De Laurentiis are all trying to get the show saved and we’re really hoping something can come of this. Anyone for #SaveHannibal?
Fuller’s statement last night did pique our interest though as he definitely seemed to be hinting that the show may come back again: “Hannibal is finishing his last course at NBC’s table this summer, but a hungry cannibal can always dine again.”
We went through this with Constantine recently; it looks like we’re going to go through it all again with our favourite cannibal.

Meanwhile, the guys at IGN make a good argument for why, after having the exclusive streaming rights, Amazon might be a good fit for bringing the series back:
