No Supergirl story would be complete without the origins of the character as a young girl, set to the backdrop of a planet Krypton doomed to destruction.
And it looks like Greg Berlanti’s CBS Supergirl series has cast the young Kara in the form of Malina Weissman.
The young actress should eb familiar to fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja movie from last summer… she played the young April O’Neill.
She will be in the pilot episode during a flashback scene… will it be on Krypton? We’d like to think so, but an earth scene is possible too.
The Supergirl pilot is expected to air on CBS in the fall.
