Well, isn’t this a thing?

While we all wait for Deadpool 2 to hit cinema screens, we have more great news for fans of the Merc with the mouth.

Community star and future Lando Calrissian Donald Glover will be showrunner of a new Deadpool animated series from FXX which he will create with Stephen Glover, his brother. They will also exec produce and write the show.

Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are executive producers. The untitled series is produced by Marvel Television in association with FX Productions and ABC Signature Studios for FX.

Leob said of the collaboration: “How much more fun could this be? Deadpool, Donald and FX – the perfect fit for the Merc with the Mouth.

“We’re thrilled that our relationship with FX that started with ‘Legion’ continues with what is sure to be a groundbreaking show in adult animation.”

As we write there is no further news on the series as to who might voice Deadpool… dare we hope that Ryan Reynolds might want involved?

Anyway, as we get more news you’ll hear it too guys.

Are you excited for this show? We certainly are…
