Now, this could be a little something special.
FX is reportedly developing a new animated pilot from Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon called Little Demon which will see Danny DeVito play the devil – we’ll let that sink in for a second – in a series which will co-star DeVito’s real-life daughter Lucy DeVito and Alita: Battle Angel star Aubrey Plaza.
The synopsis sounds wild:
13 years after being impregnated by the Devil (Danny DeVito), a reluctant mother (Plaza) and her Antichrist daughter (Lucy DeVito) attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.
Given DeVito’s awesomeness and Plaza’s universal loveliness, mixed with Harmon’s track record with Rick & Morty, Community and more PLUS FX being the folks behind Archer, I’d say it’s a safe bet this show is going to have a bright, wicked future.
