DC FANDOME: Titans Season 3 will feature Scarecrow, Commissioner Barbera Gordon and… Red Hood!

August 23rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

While the majority of DC Fandome was about the umpcoming big movies, DC Universe’s – and now HBO Max’s – Titans season three has had a moment in the spotlight and it has some very cool stuff coming.

Executive producer and writer Greg Walker revealed some familiar, yet new to this universe, characters coming.

Also in the panel were cast members Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter and Conor Leslie.

Fans may recall that it was revealed in Season one that Jim Gordon, AKA Commissioner Gordon, was dead and now it seems he has his comicbook replacement… Barbera Gordon, the first Batgirl, will be stepping into the role of Commissioner in the series.

It was also revealed that Dr Jonathan Crane, AKA Scarecrow, will be in the series. But that’s not all.

“Now we have Nightwing and Barbara Gordon trying to deal with the mistakes of their parents and it’s turning out to be a lot more difficult than anybody else bought,” Walker said.

The biggest news, however, was that the second Robin, Jason Todd, played in the series by Curran Walters, has a big change coming.

Fans may recall he left the Titans at the end of a bumpy second season:  “A child that is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth,” Walker says, before adding the big news: “That child comes back in the form of Red Hood.”

This is a big deal as Red Hood becomes a big name in the Batman Family… although he hasn’t necessarily got the blessing of Batman (he also features in the Gotham Knights game here).

Walters had this to say on stepping up to the role: “I feel some pressure but I’m ready to take it on one hundred percent. I’ve been wanting this for a while now.”

So, this has me wondring if we will now see the third Robin, Tim Drake, stepping up to the task in the series? And will we see the gruesome way in which Todd becomes Red Hood? It’s a pretty major part of the Batman lore.

I want to hear your thoughts, gang.
