Fans are convinced that the latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again has a massive cosmic Easter Egg confirming that, although Daredevil is a ‘street-level character’, his story might be being observed by a much higher power.
Marvel and MCU fans will be familiar with Uatu, aka The Watcher, a near-godlike character whose job it is to observe everything happening in the Marvel universe, charting everything and never getting involved, but fans of the What If…? animated series will know that he does, at times, get wrapped up in the things going on.

While he has also been seen in MCU projects, I Am Groot, Eyes of Wakanda, and Marvel Zombies, he also briefly popped up in Guardians of the Galaxy with other Watchers and the legend that was Stan Lee, left, but if this is really him in Daredevil: Born Again, then it really makes fans wodner why he as there and what events might have been so worth his showing himself.
In the scene, Daredevil (Charlie Cox) pulls Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) through a window after an assassination attempt at Kingpin’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) boxing match, and as Daredevil runs away, the broken window and lights on the ceiling look a lot like The Watcher.
Tidbit:
The Watcher being present, by accident or otherwise, makes sense when you consider the power of an angry Kingpin.
Fans will recall that in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse, Kingpin ended up tearing a hole in the multiverse in a bid to get Vanessa back:
Adding fuel to the fire, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum took to Instagram about the appearance of The Watcher, sharing the image and writing: “Always watching.”
Now, I totally believe that this doesn’t confirm that the appearance was intentional, but it does mean that Marvel/the MCU are aware of the fans and what they think is happening, and isn’t that part of the fun?
Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all…
