Well, Disney do not waste time, do they?
At the Disney Investor Day 2020 it was revealed that Aliens fans have a big treat in store.
Ever since the franchise was taken over by Disney, many feared that the Aliens franchise was dead in the water as it was too adult for the House of Mouse but it seems that isn’t the case at all as FX Boss John Landgraf confirmed that Fargo and Legion creator Noah Hawley is developing an Alien series also acting as executive producer along with Ridley Scott.
The show will be the first in the franchise set on earth (well, not counting the AvP movies) and will blend the horror of Scott’s original Alien along with the action of James Cameron’s Aliens. That’s a big promise.
With it being on FX we can be confident that it should be pretty adult-orientated, which this franchise should be.
Alien is currently in development at @FXNetworks. The first TV series based on the classic film series is helmed by Fargo and Legion’s @noahhawley. Expect a scary thrill ride set not too far in the future here on Earth. pic.twitter.com/jZe1CRFAZD
