At a Disney+ presentation last night, we got lots of reveals about the new streaming service as well as the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars shows it will feature.
We’ve lined up the best of the stuff that you – like us – will be interested in.
First up, Star Wars.
We go the logo for The Mandalorian series and we’re hoping the footage shown will also be revealed this weekend at Star Wars Celebration as the show’s panel is on Sunday.
Here’s the logo:
We also learned that Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk will both return for the Cassian Andor series as Cassian and K2SO respectively.
Also, All StaWars films will roll out within the first year.
In related news, here’s the first look at the Lady And The Tramp movie which will debut on the service:
The image above also shows the interface the service will use.
Content can be downloaded for offline use on Disney+. Every 2019 film from Disney will be available on the service once it’s theatrical run is finished.
Oh and there’s a Phineas and Ferb movie coming! Yes!
All Pixar films except Incredibles 2, Toy Story 4 and Coco will be available on the first day of launch. The three remaining Pixar films will be added to the service during its first year.
So we got confirmation of the Falcon & Winter Soldier series starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as well as details on other MCU shows on the service.
What else did we learn? Well, the Loki series will star Tom Hiddlestonas already expected.
The Scarlet Witch and Vision series will star Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and will be called… WandaVision. No, really.
Disney+ will have an animated series with different “What If” stories, the first of which is going to explore what would’ve happened if Peggy Carter became Captain America. This could be fun.
Here’s what Feige had to say about the upcoming MCU shows:
“These will be both new and continuing stories,” said Feige.
“These will be major storylines set in the MCU with ramifications that will be felt both through the other Disney+ series we’ll be producing and the future on the big screen.
“These shows will be on the same level of quality that you’ve come to expect [from Marvel Studios films].”
On the WandaVision series, he added: “This story is definitely something unexpected and surprising, as well as something we could only do in a longform series.”
Oh, and the Simpsons will be streaming on it too…
