So, it’s official, nothing is sacred.
So, remember when we were all delighted when Disney bought Fox because X-Men?
Well, not they’re rebooting Home Alone.
Sigh.
Yeas, at Disney’s Q3 Earnings Call last night Disney chief Bob Iger mentioned a batch of properties that are getting rebooted for the Disney+ streaming service…
Home Alone, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Night At The Museum are all going to be ‘reimagined’ for the service.
And that’s all I know for now.
Look, Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a hot mess and Night At the Museaum has Rebel Wilson, so no-one really cares about those too much but Home Alone is a Christmas classic and a movie that a lot of people hold dear and Macauley Culkin was perfect in the roll… remember the sequels after the second movie?
Honestyly, I can already see this being Kevin beating the criminals using an iPad and Alexis…
Leave it Disney, no-one wants this.
Or do they? Let me know in the usual ways.
