FIRST LOOK? LEGO Stranger Things sets are coming…

May 3rd, 2019 by Marc Comments

It looks like we are on the verge of an awesome case of two of our favourite things meeting… in this case, LEGO and Stranger Things!

The image above was shared by official LEGO distributer Lucky Bricks and appears to show the lego mini-figs of Dustin and the Demigorgon!

With the third series due on July 4th and a midnight opening of the LEGO Store Leicester Square, London and a late night shopping event at the LEGO Store New York on May 14/15, and the below image released by LEGO and showing – just trust us on this – the top of Mike’s head from the show, we thing it’s pretty much a given that this is happening.

In what capacity? No idea… minifigs, perhaps? One set ala The Big Bang Theory or a planned range of sets? Who knows, all we know is we can’t wait.

On the negative side though, some are unhappy that LEGO are breaking their own rules and seem to be licensing a more adult range, with the series rated TV14 but given that the LEGO Dimension game has a Beetlejuice figure, we reckon we can live with it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
