Scooby-Doo anime series, Yokoso Scooby-Doo! (Welcome, Scooby-Doo!), is heading to Tubi, and not only that, it has scored two Scooby-Doo legends for voice roles.
The series is Scooby’s first ever foray into anime, is produced by Warner Bros Animation, and it will star none other than Frank Welker and Matthew Lillard – Welker was the voice of Scooby-Doo for over two decades: when you think about how Scoob sounds, it’s almost certainly Welker you’re hearing (he’s also famous for being the voice of the original animated version of Megatron).
Lillard, as well as being famous for playing Stu Macher in the Scream franchise, we also a great Shaggy in the two live-action movies in the early 2000s.

In a statement on the series, Tubi chief content officer Adam Lewinson said: “By bringing Scooby and Shaggy into a bold anime world set in Japan, we’re connecting with global fandoms and delivering the kind of fun, chaotic mystery that travels across generations. As we grow our animation slate, this is exactly our brand of fan-first storytelling—familiar, surprising, and unmistakably Tubi.”
The series’ official synopsis reads:
While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy unwittingly unleash hundreds of mythical monsters that are causing trouble across the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, along with new friends, a magical girl Yume and gadget whiz Takumi, the group embarks on an all-new mystery filled with monster chasing and fun chaos.
A new anime take on Scooby-Doo with Welker and Lillard? Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all.
