Oh my, how good was Hannibal Season 1? It was very, very good for those who haven’t watched it yet.. and very, very gruesome too but it did prove to be some of the smartest, most adult material on TV this year. So the poster for Season 2, which is full of little hints about what’s to come, has us all a flutter…
The poster, from EW, shows Hannibal in the form of one of Will’s nightmare visions. And, according to Showrunner Bryan Fuller, that’s the point: “After a horrifying descent into madness in season one, this image ironically represents the perspective of a scrappier, clearer-minded Will Graham in season two. The scales have fallen from his eyes and he finally sees Hannibal Lecter for the monster he is.”
After the earth-shattering but totally electrifying climax of the first season, the idea of Will going after Hannibal is an exciting and daunting prospect: we know the outcome, but the chase will be spectacular.
