After the news in May that Harry Shearer had left The Simpsons (here), many wondered how the show could possibly continue without the voice of Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner and many, many more.
Seems there was no need for alarm as Shearer is coming back after all.
FOX has confirmed that Harry Shearer has now signed the same contract as the other five members of the core voice cast and is now set to lend his talents through the show’s 30th season.
This means that Shearer, along with Hank Azaria, Dan Castellaneta, Nancy Cartwright, Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith is on $300,000 an episode starting in the new season, 27 fact-fans.
What do you think? Should he have come back? Or maybe he should have stuck to his guns? Let us know your thoughts…
