Hold onto your Cornettos, Frost and Pegg reunite for horror/comedy series on Amazon

T’was a sad sad day back in 2013 when the movie The Worlds End was released and we never saw Frost and Pegg together again… until now, that is.

Amazon have picked up their new series Truth Seekers which is the first thing being done from Frost and Pegg’s Sony-backed production company, Stolen Picture. We have a little bit of the synopsis here thanks to Variety: “A ghost-hunting duo team up to uncover and film paranormal sightings across the U.K. in the series. They stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers, and abandoned hospitals using an array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos and share their adventures on an online channel. Their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, terrifying, and even deadly as the pair begin to uncover a conspiracy that could threaten the entire human race.”

So, based on this, part of me is thinking that it’s gonna be just like Ghost Hunters via Supernatural but actually funny.

Now Frost is meant to be of the the ghost hunting duo, however we don’t quite know much of Pegg’s character other than he’s called Dave, possibly a ghost who helps them find other ghosts?

The only downside I can see with this is the length and, in typical British fashion, we will only be getting eight episodes at 30 mins a piece. With bingeing the way that we consume content these days, it just seems like a miss when the show you binge doesn’t go for the whole day; but this being said, Nick Frost has had some success in this area with his show Sick Note with Rupert Grint and Lindsey Lohan.

No news yet on when the release will be, but with Amazon’s new show The Boys and the future Lord of the Rings series currently being done, Amazon is starting to look like a powerhouse of streaming and I for one can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
