We all know by now that this Christmas will be a big one for Doctor Who fans with Peter Capaldi stepping down as the Doctor in the Christmas special.
He’ll also be joined by the first Doctor played by David Bradley. We’ll also see the stepping down of Steven Moffat as showrunner and now we have a new addition to the cast, well actually an old addition… yes, Clara Oswald will be back too!
Steve wright confirmed on BBC Radio 2 earlier today that Coleman’s coming back to the show after saying goodbye last year, leaving as an immortal to travel through space and time with Ashildr played by Maisie Williams (here).

While there seems to be a bit of a backlash online over the announcement, we reckon that since Clara has met all of the Doctor’s incarnations and is sprinkled throughout his timeline it makes sense. Plus, we reckon that Moffat will just be looking to put a full stop on everything he created in his time on the show.
The Mirror in the UK also have said: “Jenna Coleman has agreed to film something new as Clara. It’s become a tradition now for the companions to reappear as the Doctor regenerates and Jenna isn’t letting the side down. It’ll help to give Peter the send-off he deserves after three years.”
So what say you all? Are you looking forward to Clara’s return? Let us know…
Oh and here’s a cool little image of the two TARDIS currently filming the Christmas Special… how cool is that?
