It looks like we now have confrmation that Jodie Whittaker’s final outing as The Doctor will, indeed, be October.
Back in May of this year, returning showrunner Russell T Davies revealed that the last outing of the 13th Doctor would be in October and is 90mins and now a new poster has revealed it.
The epsiode will be Whittaker’s last time in the TARDIS and will lead into Davies’ return to the iconic series ahead of its 60th Anniversary next year and the debut of new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa. It will also see the end of current showrunner Chris Chibnall which is definitely a big plus for the series.
The episode sets up three big villains’ returns with Sacha Dawan returning as the Master along with the Daleks and the Cybermen but that’s not all, as two classic era companions and fan favourites in there too with Sophie Aldred’s Ace returning – Aldred traveled with Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor back in the 80s – and Janet Fielding’s Tegan who traveled with both Tom Baker’s and Peter Davidson’s Doctors in the 1970s and 1980s.
It seems this is going to be a big episode for the Doctor and we can’t help feeling that this will lead directly into the 60th Anniversary episode, giving us one big adventure with many Doctors. Fine by us.
