We all suspected as much but it’s now official, Jessica Jones is back.
Star Krysten Ritter will return as the Marvel hero/private eye for season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, reprising the role she last played when the characters were living over at Netflix over a decade ago.
The news broke at Marvel’s portion of Disney’s upfront presentation.
Ritter will join Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is the show’s next series.

Speaking about Daredevil: Born Again, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of television and animation, said: “People were watching it as a season four, not at as a first season,” referring to the three seasons of Daredevil that had previously streamed on Netflix.
Cox has recently confirmed that in season 2, which is currently filming, there will be a flashback to season one of the Netflix show, confirming that it is all canon.

Winderbaum also sad that the massive success of Born Again means they will have Disney+’s first annual Marvel series, going forward: “It’s given us the confidence of making the show annually into the future.”
So, that leaves only Luke Cage and Iron Fist, played by Mike Coulter and Finn Jones, left to reunite The Defenders team from the Netflix shows.
