Krypton begins filming today… and will star Cameron Cuffe as superman’s grandad
The Superman prequel series Krypton, taking palce two generations before Kal-el is born, has gone before the cameras… or at least it will at some point today.
Georgina Campbell, who plays Lyta Zod took to Twitter last night (below – sorry we missed it until now) to annoucne the beginning of filming.
On top of that, British actor Cameron Cuffe has landed the lead role of Seg-El, “the scion of the once prosperous El family who is blessed with an intuitive brilliance for all things technical; he is now living in Krypton’s lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank. Thus far, Syfy has only ordered a pilot for Krypton.”
He also happens to be Superman, Kal-El’s grandfather.
We still don’t know what to expect from the show… but, as always, we remain optimistic.
Krypton is a Syfy series created by David S,. Goyer (Man of Steel) and Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow), with the pilot written by David S. Goyer and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon A Time) and will be directed by Colm McCarthy.
