Fox has recently announced that its Lucifer tv series is to get a second season. Lucifer is based off of the Vertigo series of the same name.

The announcement also came with news that the tv series Rosewood, is also to get its second season.

Fox’s President of Entertainment, David Madden, commented on both Lucifer and Rosewood after this announcement. He said; “[With Lucifer] we knew we had something special… from the engaging performances of Tom, Lauren and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show and the amazing storytelling savvy of the Bruckheimer team,”

“With ‘Rosewood,’ creator Todd Harthan has put a fresh, playful spin on the procedural format, infusing it with wit and warmth, while Morris, Jaina and the show’s gifted supporting cast have turned in fantastic performances.”

Lucifer made its debut in January of this year, and has been everaging about 10.5 million total viewers. Produced by Warner Bros. Television and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, a consultant now serving for the LAPD alongside his co-star, and fellow LAPD investigator, Chloe Decker as Chloe Decker.

Tom Kapinos and Len Wiseman are executive producing with Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ildy Modrovich all serving alongside.
