Meet Arrow’s Ra’s Al Ghul…

September 4th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Well, we now know who is going to play Batman’s oldest and deadliest enemy in Arrow courtesy of Stephen Amell who plays Oliver Queen…

Mr Matt Nable, Boss Johns from Riddick (below)…

Ra’s al Ghul. Male, 40s-50s. Open ethnicity. Accent preferred. An iconic villain from the pages of DC Comics. Leader of the League of Assassins. Regal, mysterious, and of a bygone era. Proud and unforgiving. Ra’s is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages, and protects some of its greatest secrets. Think the character of Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Someone terrifying. Not a lunkhead, but a smart and physically imposing man. Major recurring guest star.

We’ll have more as it breaks, but for now, it’s cool to know that Ra’s is coming…

Ra’s will appear in Arrow’s 50th episode – Arrow season 3 premieres October 8th

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
