CBS All Access’ Star Trek: Discovery has confirmed its first cast member and it’s one of our favourite actresses.
Ctouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star Michelle Yeoh has been confirmed by Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country director, Nicholas Meyer who is acting as consulting producer on the show.
Now, we’ve known for a while that the show’s lead would be a female Lieutenant Commander (here) and while we suspect this may well be Yeoh’s role, we can’t confirm it.
“I know Michelle Yeoh is in it,” Said Meyer.
Not a lot of info, but exciting nonetheless.
Due to start in May 2017 on the CBS Television Network, all episodes will be available in the U.S. exclusively on CBS All Access and then will be available globally within 24 hours, presented on Netflix in 188 countries and Bell Media platforms in Canada.
