Ooooooh… it looks like Netflix and Neil Gaiman may have made their decision when it comes to finding their Morpheus for the upcoming Sandman series.
Based on Gaiman’s iconic and totally brilliant comics book series, Sandman follows the lord of dreams, also known as Dream, Morpheus, Kai’ckul, and Oneiros. He is one of the endless and he’s a character who floats around the DC universe at will, living forever and witnessing history as it floats past, trying to stay out of events as much as humanly possible as he is ruler of the world of dreams, not our realm.
And now it looks like Mary Shelly and On the Road star Tom Sturridge is set to grab the much sought-after role.
This is all we know so far but we will keep you posted as and when we hear any more news on casting, directors etc.
Are you excited for the on-screen debut of Morpheus? Personally, I hope they can capture the otherworldly atmosphere that encapsulates Gaiman’s creation and, if they can, we’re truly in for something very, very special indeed.
Let me know your thoughts, gang…
