New Doctor Who villain revealed

April 21st, 2023 by Marc Comments

The official Doctor Who Twitter has given us our first look at new a new Doctor Who villain played by American drag queen Jinkx Monsoon.

If I were a betting man, I’d imagine this new, as yet unnamed, villain, pictured above with video below, will be a one-and-done character facing off against Ncuti Gatwa’s fifteenth Doctor.

Gatwa will be picking up as the Timelord this Christmas after David Tennant’s return for the show’s 60th Anniversary three-part event in December.

You can also check out some cool new images of Gatwa and Millie Gibson as The Doctor and Ruby in their very cool ‘Swingin’ Sixties’ outfits… that has to be a wig, right?

Full of returning faces, the 60th Anniversary will see Neil Patrick Harris’ villain, Gatwa’s new incarnation of The Doctor and a couple of very fun characters that fans of the 80s Doctor Who comic strips will recognise, returning showrunner Russell T Davies has hinted that we would be ‘staggered’ by this year’s goodies and it really looks like he wasn’t exaggerating.

Allons-y!

The show is just beginning…” #DoctorWho returns in 2023 ❤️❤️➕🔷

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
