Ohhhhhhh… we finally have a look at the second season of Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and they look awesome!
The images feature Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, played by Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes and Presley Smith, respectively as well as Neil Patrick Harris as the villainous Count Olaf but also feature a couple of interesting additions.
We know this season will see new actors join the cast in the form of Lucy Punch, Nathan Fillion, Tony Hale, Sara Rue and Roger Bart.
Going by the images we can tell we’re going to be meeting two of Olaf’s future cohorts in the form of Lucy inch playing Esme Squalor (the blonde woman with Olaf) as well as Carmelita Spats, the little girl in the pink dress, who may just become one of TV’s most annoying characters.
We can tell from the images that the series will cover the second batch of four books, The Austere Academy, The Eratz Elevator, The Vile Village and The Hostile Hospital.
Anyway, check out the images below and get ready for the orphans and Olaf to return in 2018.
Dear Viewer,
We regretfully present you with the official trailer, a word which here means a collection of the unhappy happenings surrounding the lives of the three Baudelaire orphans and one despicable Count Olaf.
For the sake of your mental well-being and overall enjoyment of your internet browsing experience, we recommend you search “cats playing instruments” immediately and spend the next 2 1/2 minutes watching a tabby in a t-shirt attempt to play a keyboard instead.
With all due respect,
Netflix
Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler, and premieres January 13, 2017 only on Netflix.
