New Hero added to The Boys Season 2

Looks like we have a new ‘supe’ on the horizon for Amazon’s hit show The Boys with showrunner Eric Kripke talking about bringing in a gender-bent version of the comic character Stormfront to be one of the new faces of Vought.

Stormfront can best be described as a “full-on Nazi” according to Kripke who says that she will mirror growing concerns in our own world: “We’re all news junkies, and we tend to pay attention to things that are happening out there in the world, and how do we use our superheroes as a metaphor for that? And I am horrified and sad to report that there is a rise of white nationalism. So, we got really interested in creating a character that could represent that for us.” and boy you just know this is gonna cause some issues in the world we have today.

That being said, they have stepped aside a bit from the original comic character who was a literal Nazi super soldier and if they kept on that track I could see it causing a few issues. Although for fans of the comics Kripke has confirmed that even though they may have changed a few bits and pieces here an’ there for their version, she’ll still “have the same rotten soul” and isn’t that the whole point?

Actress Aya Cash is currently front-runner for the gender-swapped gig going off reports earlier this year but they’re all unconfirmed still. What is confirmed is that with the writing rooms mantra being “Bad for the world, good for the show” I’m sure we can expect to see much of the same in the upcoming seasons.
