A few days ago we reported on a massive crossover happening in the Arrowverse (here).

Starring the characters from Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl, the CW is joining all their DC superheroes into one massive crossover.

Last year the Flash (Grant Gustin) made his way to a parallel earth, a strange place called CBS, for a crossover with Supergirl. Speaking at a screening of this week’s Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow,  Marc Guggenheim commented on this: “Last year, Supergirl established that Flash was able to make his way to what I call Earth-CBS, and it stands to reason that, with the proper breach technology, the reverse can happen,”

In the crossover, we will see all the heroes team up to fight against some Dominators, a highly technologically advanced alien race from the outer reaches of the cosmos. In the comics they wanted to invade earth and eliminate the metahumans. Whether this will be the case in the TV series is unclear. However we can assume that with a crossover this massive, the threat will have to be a big one.

It seems that the heroes of Earth-1 will have their world cut out for them. Yet since Supergirl is not of Earth-1 and of course is the new kid on the block, there will need to be something to link her and bring her into the crossover: “Once the heroes realize that they’re up against aliens, they decide that they need an alien on their side,” explains Guggenheim. “Fortunately, Barry knows a really nice one.”

Guggenheim also announced that the crossover will officially kick off during the end of a Supergirl episode and then continue into the three main shows: “The story that’s being told has a beginning, middle, and end” Gunningheim explained “a beginning in Flash, a middle in Arrow, and an end in Legends. But Supergirl is very much a part of the whole thing.”

Let’s not forget though that the real reason for this crossover is that it’s the 100th episode of Arrow: “People didn’t want to feel like the crossover was highjacking what should be a really seminal episode and a seminal moment for the show Arrow,” explained Guggenheim.

For such an important event it would be foolish to not have a significant Arrow presence. Therefore we don’t know how much the crossover will focus on the actually main battle, particularly the episode in Arrow.  Guggenheim has stated though that in addition to the original cast, John Barrowman and Neal McDonough will reprise their roles as Malcom Merlyn and Damien Darhk.

“Everyone who we could have in the episode, from a scheduling point of view, is in the episode.” Guggenheim explained “Even the people who we couldn’t have, because of conflicting schedules, are represented. At the same time, you’ve got Flash and Supergirl; that’s an enormous amount of fun… Everyone obviously brought their A game to it. I’m really, really excited about it. It’s the 100th episode!”

The four way Flash, Arrow,  Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow crossover will kick off in November.

In related news, next week will see the appearance of several of Flash’s rogues gallery, including Mirror Master, Captain Cold, and The Top, not to mention  Jesse Quick, fellow hero and speedster:

WENTWORTH MILLER RETURNS AS CAPTAIN COLD; MIRROR MASTER AND THE TOP BATTLE WITH THE FLASH — Barry (Grant Gustin) continues to train Jesse (guest star Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (guest star Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (guest star Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences.
