New Star Trek series looking to cast a young James T Kirk?

A new rumour suggests that CBS All Access is looking for a new actor to fill the shoes of one James T Kirk.

For a long time we have heard rumours of a new Star Trek: Enterprise series, captained by Anson Mount as Captain Pike and it seems that the show may also want to include a younger Kirk too.

The series will feature several classic characters including Spock and Number 2, so perhaps we shouldn’t be that surprised that we may see Kirk too.

According to the rumour: “CBS All Access is currently in the process of casting James T Kirk on their upcoming Star Trek: Discovery spin-off series centred around Captain Pike, titled Star Trek: Enterprise.”

As for who they are considering, the rumour goes on to say that CBS want The Mandalorian star Jake Cannavale for the role. Cannavale played a young, up-and-coming bounty hunter, Toro Calican, that the Mandalorian helped find a bounty.

The rumour also states that he has already tested with Star Trek: Discovery Spock actor Ethan Peck, through Skype.

Would an Entrprise series with the original series’ characters hold any interest for you? Let me know, gang…
