We learned earlier this week that Kat Coiro would be directing the She-Hulk series on Disney+ (here) and now we also know who will be playing the beautiful green hero.
Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has nabbed the role of Bruce Banner’s cousin who has his abilities and none of the drawbacks.
Coiro will helm the MCU series at the streamer as well as executive produce while Rick & Morty’s Jessica Gao will be handling some of the writing duties.
She-Hulk in the comics is Jennifer Walters, an attorney and cousin of Bruce Banner, the Hulk. When she comes close to death Banner gives her an emergency blood transfusion, granting her green skin, super strength and also the added bonus of keeping her intelligence and personality.
An emergency blood transfusion from her cousin gave Walters her powers, but unlike Banner/Hulk, She-Hulk was able to keep her intelligence and personality when she Hulked out.
It joins The Falcon and Winter Soldier, WandaVision and Loki on it’s journey to the small screen on Disney+.
Mark Ruffalo was quick to take to twitter to welcome the star to the MCU family and, more importantly, the Banner family:
Welcome to the family, cuz! @tatianamaslany #SheHulk https://t.co/VXcaE9Fine
