When it comes to TV/Movie adaptations of comics, a big question that arises early on is “who from the continuity will show up?”. In the case of Constantine, we just got a major addition to the cast.
Michael James Shaw has been cast as recurring character Papa Midnite. In the comics, Papa Midnite has been there since the beginning, literally! The voodoo king of New Orleans, Papa Midnite seems to always be clashing with our chain smoking “hero”. In the show though, he may be singing a different tune…
It’s teased (via the article in USA Today), that with the armies of darkness rising, they might have to work together. Sounds like fun!
Constantine will premiere on NBC on October 23 at 10/9 Central Time.
