In a true “full circle” moment. It was revealed at the WBTV panel that Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin would be meeting his father soon. And it would be none other than Paul Reuben, aka Pee Wee Herman.

“We just found out that I do have a father and he will be showing up very soon,” Taylor said with excitement brewing in his voice, “and he will be played by none other than PAUL REUBENS! AKA PEE-WEE HERMAN, IS PLAYING ME DAD! What the hell! Oh my god!”

For those who weren’t aware, Reuben actually played Penguin’s dad in the movie Batman Returns. We’ll have to see how much of him we see of him in Gotham Season 2, and if Oswald will even be happy to see his “dear old dad”, as we have not heard much (if any) mention of him. And of course, Oswald’s mother is still alive, so what will she think of his return?

Gotham Season 2 has shown us that there are many surprises in store for us, could the arrival of Cobblepot Sr. be the next? We know that another big name star Michael Chiklis is coming to Gotham tomorrow, who knows who may be next? Gotham airs on Fox on Mondays 8/7c
