Peter Capaldi has hinted at a Doctor Who exit, revealing that he interested in taking on further projects despite his unrelenting love for all things Time Lord.

Capaldi is already confirmed for the show’s tenth season, having replaced Matt Smith in 2014. He is the twelfth actor to play Doctor Who, write Squareeyed.

Talking to The Telegraph, Capaldi said: “This could be my final year – it’s terrifying. I love Doctor Who but it can be quite an insular world and I do want to do other things. There will come a time when this is over.”

Capaldi continued: “But I knew that when I started. I was thinking about my regeneration scene from the outset. That’s my terrible melancholic nature. When you accept the job you know there’ll come a day, inevitably, when you’ll be saying goodbye.”

We at FTN have noticed that this season has really divided fans with some loving it (Personally, I thought it was the strongest its been since it returned) and others downright loathing it. Whatever your thoughts, it’ll be hard to see him go…
