Robert Rodriquez says he knows what’s next for Boba Fett but is sworn to secrecy! Aghhhhh!

While I have to say that The Mandalorian Season 3 had some fun episodes, overall, it was a bit of a letdown and one of the things that I felt let it down most was the lack of that other Mandalorian, the original Mandalorian, the greatest Mandalorian, Boba Fett.

While we’re still waiting to hear of his solo series, The Book of Boba Fett, is getting a second season, we felt confident that we’d see Temuera Morrison back as Fett in Mandalorian’s third season but, alas, it never happened.

In the recent SUPANOVA Comic Con and Gaming convention in Melbourne, Australia, Morrison was asked about Boba’s return and his answer, while tongue-in-cheek, was concerning: “I think there is a few changes going on. We also come under the big umbrella known as ‘Disney’ now too. So it’s one of the last few conversations we had in LA. The conversation started like, ‘Oh look, we’re having a few changes. We’re having a few cutbacks’.

Temuera Morrison thinks Boba Fett needs to face Samuel L Jackson’s Mace Windu in Book of Boba Fett season 2

“And when you hear that at the other end of the line, it’s no good trying to negotiate any more money that’s for sure. So we’ll see what happens.”

Hmmmmmm… cutbacks and changes don’t fill Me with confidence that we’ll see Boba back anytime soon.

Asked about this, director and showrunner of The Book of Boba Fett, said that he’s in the know about what comes next but is sworn to secrecy: “I can’t say… I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could tell you. I know all the answers to what you’re asking, but I can’t say.”

Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

While I love The Book of Boba Fett, I know it wasn’t warmly received by many other fans, so I’d not put money on a second season (though I hope there is!), but I’d say it’s a certain thing that we will see Morrison back as Boba in the future of Star Wars and I’d also put money on it that we’ll see him as either Rex, Cody or another clone in the near future too.

I love Boba Fett, I was there for his character’s introduction and the magic and mystery of who he is over the years, so his legacy is still important to me and I wasn’t at all surprised to learn he survived the events of Return of the Jedi, and I really hope he still has a big role to play in that galaxy far, far away.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s FacebookTwitter and Instagram

Does Spanish listing confirm The Book of Boba Fett season 2?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
