OK, this was so far out there that even we didn’t get behind it… but here it’s cleared up. Or not.
There was a theory that Oswald Cobblepot in Gotham, played superbly by Robin Lord Taylor, is actually… The Joker (yeah, we know, right?).
The theory was most popular during the brief period when Oswald was believed dead as this would leave his name up for grabs and potentially allow him to return as someone else. Which he didn’t. He returned as, em, Oswald.
Anyway MTV chatted to the actor about the theory to see what he thought about it and he seemed as perplexed as everyone else: “I find it incredibly unlikely, but at the same time, I have no idea what could happen.
“I get the scripts and I’ll read something, and I will be just as shocked as everyone else is when they see it happen onscreen.”
