RUMOUR: Is Disney working on a Rocket and Groot series?

November 21st, 2018 by Marc Comments

Another day, another Disney/Marvel streaming rumour as we’re hearing now that Rocket and Grot may be getting a small screen series on the Disney + service.

According to That Hashtag Show we’ll be getting several shows and not just the Loki, Winter Soldier/Falcon and Scarlet Witch/Falcon shows as Disney are prepared to set down some serious money to rule the streaming market.

Move over Netflix and Amazon, there’s a new boss in town.

The site reports: “This one, however, is simply a fun rumor that we wanted to share. It’s been told to us that among the series being pitched to Feige is one that might mean we won’t have to wait until 2022 to see more Guardians of the Galaxy action. We’ve been told that a Rocket and Groot series may be in the works!”

Now. the one stumbling block we see here is cost as both characters are CGI creations and are voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel who are both big Hollywood stars – especially Cooper after the success of A Star Is Born earlier this year.

That said, we do know the other proposed shows are eight to ten episodes and not full 22 seasons like other shows and on top of that, if anyone has big money to spend, it’s the house of mouse.

So, what say you all? Would a Rocket and Groot series work for you? Let us know your thoughts, gang.
