It seems that The Simpsons creators are getting ready to kill off another character. This time, it is Bart Simpson himself that is on his way to the chopping block. Not only will Bart die, but also he will die at the hands of his archenemy… Sideshow Bob.

Now don’t panic, this is not actually an in-continuity story. In fact, the events of this story take place within this year’s Treehouse of Horror episode.

In a recent interview, series producer, Al Jean, stated: “I’m one of the people who always wanted the Coyote to eat the Road Runner, so you can see where this is going. I hated frustration comedy so we’ll scratch that itch on the Halloween show”.

However, the episode does not seem to be a build-up to Bob killing Bart. Based on the description given for this episode, it would seem that Bart’s death takes place fairly early on in the episode and the rest focuses on Sideshow Bob dealing with the aftermath.

This certainly will be an interesting segment on this year’s Treehouse of Horror episode. Here’s hoping that this episode can live up to expectations.

However, more importantly than that, let’s hope Kelsey Grammar returns to reprise his role.

My name is James and I am a long time fan of Movies, TV and Comics. I am currently a student, wrapping up my education at Aberystwyth University. I have an undergraduate degree in film and television and I’m working on my Masters in scriptwriting. My personal favourite comic character is the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and I view the film adaptation as one of the most horrifying experiences I have had in a movie theatre. As far as film and television go, I am usually willing to give any genre a try, as long as the project is well executed.
