Sons of Anarchy cast reunite for met series Legends

It looks like things are about to get a bit meta/sci-fi/weird in the Sons of Anarchy universe.

A new series, Legends, has just been announced, which will reunite the Sons of Anarchy cast in a new story that will see them… saving the world?

The new series will star Charlie Hunnam (Jax), Ron Perlman (Clay), Katey Sagal (Gemma), Maggie Siff (Tara), Mark Boone Junior (Bobby), Tommy Flanagan (Chibs), Kim Coates (Tig), and Theo Rossi (Juice) only this time out, they are playing themselves: When the cast of “Sons of Anarchy” reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade, the line between life and art blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show.

The series was Hunnam’s idea and he’s developing it with How I Met Your Mother’s Jonathan Groff.

Nick Grad, FX Entertainment president, said: “When Charlie brought us this inspired idea, we instantly sparked to his bold and entertaining vision. Charlie’s talents are on full display as a writer, performer and executive producer, leading the real-life brotherhood on an adventure that is both a love letter to the series and a fun meta twist on what fans think they know.”

So, Sons of Anarchy meets Galaxy Quest? I have to say, I didn’t see this coming, but in a world where The Big Bang Theory led to a multiversal series about saving reality, I say ‘aye, why not?’.

Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all.
