Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023: Final trailer drops for Young Jedi Adventures… for the kids, you know

April 11th, 2023 by Marc Comments

The final trailer has dropped for the upcoming Star Wars kids’ series Young Jedi Adventures and it looks like a lot of fun… for kids. And adults.

The series is set in The High Republic period and is the first adventure set in that period on screen with comics, books and audio adventures already introducing us to the time before the prequels.

The series, while firmly aimed at little ones, will focus on a new batch of Jedi Padawans who are trained by none other than Master Yoda.

WATCH: Three animated shorts form Star Wars kids’ series Young Jedi Academy have appeared

Check out the new shorts below and, yes, before you ask, despite being in my 40s, I will be watching.

Young Jedi Adventures is set during the High Republic era and the prime of the Jedi Order, the animated series follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way. The cast includes Jamaal Avery, Jr. as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda.

Produced by Lucasfilm for Disney+ and Disney Junior, Young Jedi Adventures is executive produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson (Puppy Dog Pals) is showrunner and executive producer; Elliot M. Bour (Elena of Avalor) is supervising director and co-producer; Jeannine Hodson (Puppy Dog Pals) is producer; and Lamont Magee (Black Lightning) is consulting producer.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures hits Disney+ on May 4th – happy Star Wars Day, kids!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
