Stranger Things gets a confirmed Fourth Season

May 13th, 2018 by Marc Comments

While we reported that Stranger Things Season 3 was filming (here) recently, it seems that the future is bright in the Upside Down beyond one more season.

Speaking to Collider executive producer Shawn Levy revealed that the show will definitely have a fourth year with a fifth likely too::

“I mean I will say we have a good sense of stuff that happens in Season Four. Season Four is definitely happening. There’s very much the possibility of a season beyond that one, that’s currently undecided. And what I would just say is part of the chaos and fun of this particular show is that while the Duffers and the writer’s room and we producers outline the entire season, the Duffers really use the writing process to revisit, reassess and question all of their prior assumption.

“So even though we always start off with a good sense of the major arcs of the season. We’re always ready for shifts and surprises because if the Duffers stumble into a different or surprising inspiration while they rewrite the script, we’re going to follow that inspiration and throw out some ideas in order to embrace some new ones that are more exciting. And I have no doubt that Season 3 will be no exception.” he said.

While we definitely felt there was a dip in quality between seasons one and two (don’t @me), we at FTN are still very excited to spend as long as possible in the town of Hawkins and our favourite bunch of kids since One-Eyed Willie lost his treasure.

What say you all?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
