Season 3 of Netflix phenomenon Stranger Things is gathering steam. Netflix has lined up Maya Hawke as one of the new lead characters and Priah Ferguson character has been upgraded to a recurring role.
Hawke, daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, will play an “alternative girl” who is bored with her run-of-the-mill day job, who is seeking some excitement in her life and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins, Indiana.
Ferguson appeared last season in a guest role as Erica, Lucas’ strong-willed little sister. The scene-stealer returns in the next instalment with an army of her own friends. No longer content with sitting on the side-lines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous new threat.
Whatever or whoever is added, we’re still completely on board the next train to Hawkins…
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for season 3 of Stranger Things.
