In the, “this is totally not a surprise” story of the day, CBS has officially greenlit the upcoming Supergirl show for a full season. Though at present, we don’t know how many episodes the season will get.
This is both a big boost for the show…and a big risk for the network. Clearly the higher-ups are wanting to give this series the full season to try and win over the audience and get Arrow/Flash levels of fandom, if not beyond. However, if things don’t go well…they’ll still have to show the season.
Supergirl airs this fall on CBS.
