More good news if you like your comic book entertainment injected weekly and on the small screen as Krypton has got a full series order.
The new show, which will tell the history of Superman’s ill-fated planet generations before it blew up, will hit Syfy later this year and has been confirmed as going to series and will be part of Syfy’s new rebrand.
We’re not entirely sure how we feel about this show but, you know the deal, we’ll be watching as soon as it hits our screens.
Krypton is set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet. It follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre also star, along with Ian McElhinney.
Krypton comes from Warner Horizon Scripted Television. Executive Producer and showrunner is Damian Kindler; David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) is also an Executive Producer. The pilot teleplay was written by Goyer and Kindler, from a story by Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time) & Goyer, with Colm McCarthy serving as director and co-executive producer.
